Best Practices
Organise content into topics before adding it. Think of topics as chapters. A course with 12 topics is far easier for students to navigate than a single course with 50 unstructured content items. Use descriptive titles. “Chapter 3 – Sampling Methods – Lecture Notes” is more helpful than “Lecture 3”. Students should be able to identify the content from the title alone. Test quizzes before publishing. Take the quiz yourself as if you were a student. Check that the correct answers are set correctly and that the passing score is reasonable. Reuse content across courses. If the same article or video is relevant to two different courses, link it to topics in both courses - you do not need to create duplicate content.Troubleshooting
Students cannot see course content: Verify that the content is linked to a Topic and the Topic is linked to the Course. Also confirm the student is enrolled in the course (has a Course Enrollment record). Video is not playing: Check that the URL is correct and publicly accessible. Private YouTube videos or restricted links will not play for students. Quiz answers are showing incorrectly: Open the Quiz record and review each question. Confirm the correct answer option is marked and the question text is accurate.Related Pages
