Configuration

LMS Proctor is configured through the Proctor Settings page in the Bizaxl desk. This page is accessible to System Managers only.

Accessing Proctor Settings

Go to the Bizaxl desk
Search for “Proctor Settings” in the awesomebar
Or navigate to LMS Proctor > Proctor Settings

Storage Configuration

LMS Proctor stores all screenshots and video recordings in cloud storage. You must configure storage before enabling proctoring.

Supported Storage Providers

Provider	Description
AWS S3	Amazon Simple Storage Service
Cloudflare R2	S3-compatible object storage

Storage Settings

Field	Description
Storage Provider	Select S3 or Cloudflare R2
Access Key	Your storage access key ID
Secret Key	Your storage secret access key
Bucket Name	The bucket where captures will be stored
Endpoint URL	Required for Cloudflare R2 (e.g., `https://<account-id>.r2.cloudflarestorage.com`)
Region	AWS region (e.g., `us-east-1`)

Save the credentials and then click Test Connection to verify the configuration works correctly.

Default Proctoring Settings

These settings apply as defaults when enabling proctoring on new quizzes. Instructors can override these per quiz.

Setting	Default	Description
Enable Proctoring	Off	Global toggle for the proctoring system
Capture Screen	On	Capture screenshots during quizzes
Capture Webcam	On	Include webcam overlay on screenshots
Snapshot Interval	30 seconds	How often to capture screenshots

Video Recording Settings

Optional video recording captures the entire quiz session.

Setting	Description
Enable Video Recording	Turn on video recording for quizzes
Video Quality	Low (480p), Medium (720p), or High (1080p)
Chunk Duration	Duration of each video chunk (30-60 seconds recommended)
Include Audio	Whether to record audio from the microphone

Video recording uses more storage than snapshots. Estimate 7-38MB per 30 minutes depending on quality settings.

Anomaly Detection Settings

Configure how LMS Proctor detects and responds to suspicious behavior.

Behavioral Detection

Setting	Description
Enforce Fullscreen	Require the quiz to run in fullscreen mode
Detect Tab Changes	Flag when the student switches browser tabs
Detect Window Blur	Flag when the browser loses focus
Detect Copy/Paste	Flag copy or paste attempts
Detect Right Click	Flag right-click context menu usage
Detect DevTools	Flag when developer tools are opened
Block Multiple Monitors	Prevent quiz start if multiple displays detected

Face Detection

Setting	Description
Detect Face Presence	Flag when no face is visible in webcam
Detect Multiple Faces	Flag when more than one face is detected
No Face Threshold	Seconds without face before triggering anomaly
Multiple Face Threshold	Seconds with multiple faces before triggering

Anomaly Response

Setting	Options	Description
Anomaly Action	Silent Capture	Record evidence without alerting the student
	Warning + Capture	Show warning and record evidence
	Terminate Quiz	Immediately end the quiz
Max Warnings	Number	How many warnings before escalation (if using Warning + Capture)

Safe Exam Browser Settings

Configure integration with Safe Exam Browser for maximum exam security.

Setting	Description
Enable SEB	Turn on Safe Exam Browser integration
SEB Mode	Optional (recommended) or Required (students must use SEB)
Quit Password	Optional password required to exit SEB
Allow Spellcheck	Whether SEB allows spellchecking
Allow Reload	Whether students can reload the page
Block Clipboard	Prevent clipboard access in SEB
Block Right Click	Disable right-click in SEB
Block Virtual Machine	Prevent running SEB in a VM
Auto Quit	Automatically quit SEB after submission

Applying Configuration

After saving your settings:

Proctoring will use the new defaults for newly configured quizzes
Existing quiz configurations are not automatically updated
Test the configuration with a practice quiz before using in production
