What Problem Does This Solve?
Most educational institutions manage their operations through a mix of spreadsheets, paper registers, and disconnected software tools. Admissions happen in one place. Fees get tracked in another. Attendance is a paper register. Assessment results live in a faculty spreadsheet. None of these systems talk to each other. This creates problems:- Enrolment errors - a student who applied is not enrolled, or is enrolled in the wrong programme
- Fee billing failures - invoices go to wrong amounts, wrong students, or never get sent
- Attendance gaps - records are missing, inconsistent, or impossible to audit
- Assessment confusion - results are late, incorrectly graded, or not linked to the right student
- Staff duplication - the same data is entered multiple times in different systems
Who Uses College Management?
College Management is used by everyone involved in running an educational institution:Which Teams Interact With This Module?
Three teams work in College Management every day: Admissions & Registration - Manages the student pipeline from first application to confirmed enrolment. They use the Admissions and Student Management features. Academic Operations - Manages the delivery of teaching: building timetables, scheduling classes, recording attendance, and running assessments. They use Timetabling, Attendance, and Assessment features. Finance & Accounts - Manages fee billing and collection. They use Fee Management features and integrate with Bizaxl’s accounting system. The Complete Business Lifecycle
College Management supports a student’s full journey through your institution:1
Admission
Prospective student submits an application (online or in person). The
admissions team reviews and approves it, and a student record is created from
the approved application.
2
Enrolment
The student is enrolled in a programme and the Programme Enrolment is
submitted. Fee records are generated automatically and the student is assigned
to a student group (class).
3
Academic delivery
The class schedule is built for the term. Instructors take attendance each
session, and students can apply for leave when absent.
4
Assessment
Assessment plans are created for each course. Students sit exams or submit
coursework, instructors record results against the grading scale, and grades
are auto-calculated and assigned.
5
Fee collection
Fee invoices are sent to students and guardians, payment links are emailed
automatically, payments are recorded in the accounting system, and outstanding
balances are tracked.
6
Reporting and review
Attendance, assessment, and fee reports are run. Management reviews
institutional performance, and students at risk are identified and supported.
7
Progression / exit
The student progresses to the next year or graduates. A new programme
enrolment is created for the next year. On exit, leaving details are recorded,
the student is marked inactive, and a leaving certificate is issued.
What Can You Do in College Management?
Here is every major function this module provides:How Does It Connect to the Rest of Bizaxl?
College Management does not work in isolation. It connects to:- Bizaxl Accounting (BAS) - Fee invoices become Sales Invoices in the accounting system. Outstanding amounts are tracked automatically. Revenue is posted to the correct accounts.
- LMS (Learning Management) - Students enrolled in a programme can access online course content, quizzes, and live classes through the LMS. The student record is shared between both systems.
- HR Management - Instructors can be linked to Employee records in HRMS, connecting teaching schedules to HR data.
