Who uses it
Admin
Runs the agency. Full oversight of every advisor, client, and policy, plus control
of the product catalog, approvals, commissions, and agency settings. See
Feature overview.
Advisor
The front-line salesperson. Works a personal book of leads and clients from first
contact to issued policy and paid commission, and never sees another advisor’s book.
Customer
The policyholder. Uses a self-service portal to view policies, download documents,
manage nominees, complete KYC, and raise claims or requests. See
Customer self-service.
What it covers
Leads and pipeline
Capture prospects with their product interests, auto-score them, log every
follow-up, and move each lead through a guided pipeline. See
Leads and conversion.
Advisory and illustration
Run a structured needs analysis, then build a rule-based illustration that compares
plans across product lines, filtered by insurer and type. See
Advisory tools.
Applications and underwriting
Turn an agreed illustration into a digital application with nominees, dependents,
and documents, then route it through approval and underwriting.
Multi-line policies
Issue and manage policies across all five product lines, each with its own bank
details, nominees, and installment-aware premium schedule. See
Policy register and
Managing policies.
Premiums and renewals
Record premium payments tagged by product type, track amounts collected against the
schedule, and see renewals as they fall due. See
Premiums and commissions and
Renewals and tasks.
Commissions
Commission is booked automatically when a policy activates, with statutory tax
deducted, and tracked through to payout.
Claims and service
Customers raise claims and service requests from the portal; advisors and admins
triage, progress, and settle them. See Claims.
Product catalog
Maintain the plans your advisors sell, across insurer companies and insurance types.
See Product catalog.
The five product lines
Each line is supported end to end, with its own policy record, premium schedule, and a product type that carries through illustrations, applications, payments, and reports.Motor

How the pieces connect
1
A lead becomes a client
An advisor captures and qualifies a lead. When the client agrees, an admin converts
the lead into a customer with a portal login and assigns an advisor.
2
A client becomes a policyholder
The advisor runs a needs analysis and illustration, then files an application. On
approval it becomes a policy with a premium schedule and nominees.
3
A policy generates payments and commission
Each premium payment raises an invoice and books the advisor’s commission.
4
The customer self-serves
The policyholder logs in to view policies, download documents, manage nominees, and
raise claims or requests.
Compliance built in
GST-aware billing
Tax is applied by policy category, so invoices and receipts follow the current
rules for individual and group cover.
Commission tax
The statutory deduction is taken from advisor commission above the set threshold.
Data protection
Only the last four digits of a client’s Aadhaar are ever stored.
Consent and access
Nothing is messaged without consent, advisors see only their own book, and
customers see only their own records.
Insurance Advisor runs on the Bizaxl platform and installs alongside Bizaxl billing,
so invoicing and tax work out of the box. Sample data can be loaded for evaluation and
removed cleanly before you go live.
Best practices
- Use this page as the map. Start here for the shape of the product, then follow the links into each area for the detailed steps.
- Follow the flow. Each stage feeds the next, so working in order (lead, analysis, application, policy, payment) keeps every downstream record accurate.
- Lean on the automation. Scores, schedules, invoices, and commissions are calculated for you. Trust them, and act on the alerts the system raises.
