Every patient visit at the diagnostic centre follows one of three paths depending on the service requested. All three paths begin with patient registration and appointment booking and end with billing.

The Three Service Paths

Path 1: Doctor Consultation

Used when the centre’s own physician examines the patient (rather than performing a scan or test).

Path 2: Imaging Scan (CT / MRI / USG / X-Ray)

Used for all patients referred for a scan, whether from the centre’s own doctor or an external referral.

Path 3: Blood Test (Lab Investigation)

Used for all patients coming for blood tests, whether referred or walk-in.

Combined Visit: Scan + Lab Test

Many patients come for both a scan and a blood test on the same visit. In this case:
  1. Book two appointments: one Scanning, one Lab Test.
  2. Sample collection can happen while the patient waits for their scan room.
  3. Both services are invoiced together on one patient invoice.
