What the System Manages
The platform replaces paper charts, separate appointment books, manual billing, and isolated lab tracking with a single integrated system:- Patient records that hold medical history, dental history, allergy alerts, medication lists, and a full chronological timeline of every visit
- Appointment scheduling with chair assignment, recall reminders, and multi-type booking (new patient, hygiene, restorative, surgical, orthodontic)
- Dental examinations with structured charting of every tooth’s status, periodontal findings, soft tissue assessment, and treatment needs
- Treatment planning that converts examination findings into a proposed sequence of procedures
- Clinical procedures covering the full range of general dentistry: fillings, extractions, root canal treatment, crowns, bridges, dentures, scaling and polishing, and implant reviews
- Dental radiography with observations recorded for OPG (panoramic), IOPA (periapical), and bitewing X-rays
- Dental laboratory orders for crowns, bridges, dentures, orthodontic models, and custom trays - with tracking from impression to delivery
- Oral surgery documentation for tooth extractions, surgical extractions, wisdom tooth removal, and implant placement
- Orthodontic tracking for brace adjustments, aligner progress, and retainer reviews
- Billing and invoicing tied directly to procedures performed, with support for insurance, corporate accounts, and treatment plan payment schedules
- Automated notifications for appointment confirmations, reminders, and payment alerts
How the Clinic Day Works
A typical clinic day involves the following flow:- The front desk confirms the day’s appointment list and sends reminders to patients scheduled for longer procedures
- Patients arrive and are checked in against their appointment
- For new patients, a registration record and medical history is completed before they enter the dental chair
- The dentist opens the patient’s encounter, reviews their history, performs the examination, and records findings
- Required X-rays are ordered and findings are documented
- The dentist discusses the treatment plan and records it in the system
- Procedures performed on the day are documented as clinical procedure records
- Any lab work needed (crowns, dentures, orthodontic models) is ordered and the lab reference is recorded
- The front desk invoices all procedures from the visit, collects payment, and books the next appointment
Three Common Patient Journeys
New Patient Examination and Treatment Planning A patient attends for the first time. The dentist performs a full dental examination including X-rays, records all findings, identifies treatment needs (fillings, extraction, gum treatment), discusses the treatment plan, and books the first treatment appointment. Restorative and Prosthetic Treatment A patient has an active treatment plan. They attend for individual appointments to complete fillings, a root canal, a crown, or a bridge. Dental lab work may be ordered after an impression is taken, and the patient returns for a fit appointment when the lab work arrives. Orthodontic Treatment A patient is in active orthodontic treatment. They attend regular adjustment appointments for brace tightening or aligner progression, the orthodontist records the current tooth position and next steps, and the patient is booked for the next scheduled adjustment.Who Uses This System
