The Sell Screen

The Sell screen is where you spend most of your time. It has two parts side by side.
Sell screen with item catalog on the left showing shoes by category and the cart panel on the right

Left Panel: Item Catalog

Register line (top of catalog): Shows which terminal/register you are on (for example, “Counter 1”) and which POS Profile is active. The “Switch register” button lets you change to a different counter if needed. Search bar: Type part of a shoe name, item code, or size to filter the catalog. If a barcode scanner is connected, scanning a barcode automatically finds and adds the item to the cart. Category filter chips: Buttons like “All”, “Sports”, “Formal”, “Sandals”, “Kids” let you filter the catalog by product group. Tap a category to see only those items. Item cards: Each item shows:
  • Product name and image
  • Price
  • Stock quantity available (shown as a badge)
  • A “low stock” warning when quantities are running low
Tap any item card to add it to the cart. If the item has no in-stock units, it will not appear (controlled by the “Hide Out of Stock” setting). Scroll to load more: If there are many products, scroll down in the catalog to load the next page automatically.

Right Panel: Cart

The cart panel lives on the right side of the screen (or below the catalog on mobile/tablet). Customer row (top of cart): Shows who is buying. Tap it to search for a customer by name or mobile number, add a new customer, or switch to Walk-in. If loyalty is on, the customer’s point balance appears here as a small star badge. Cart header: Shows how many items are in the cart. Line items: Each product you have added shows:
  • Item name
  • Unit price and unit of measure
  • Quantity stepper (minus, number box, plus) to adjust quantity
  • Trash icon to remove the item
  • Line total on the right
Discount row: A toggle between flat amount (₹) and percentage (%). Enter a value to apply a whole-cart discount. The total updates live. Totals section:
  • Subtotal (before tax and discount)
  • Each tax row (GST component with rate and amount)
  • Discount amount (if applied)
  • Grand Total (the amount the customer pays)
Hold button: Parks the current cart to the Held Orders tab so you can serve the next customer. Charge button: Opens the Payment screen. Available only when the cart has at least one item and a shift is open.

The Payment Screen

The Payment screen appears as a pop-up over the Sell screen when you tap “Charge”.
