> A complete list of everything the Footwear Retail POS can do, who uses each feature, and how features connect to each other.

This page lists every feature in the Bizaxl Footwear Retail POS. Read this first so you know what the system can do before you start using it.

## Selling and Billing

### Making a Sale

**Who uses it:** Cashier

This is the main screen you use all day. You search for a shoe by name or product code, or scan its barcode, and it appears in your cart. The system calculates the price, tax, and total automatically. You never have to type in a price or do any maths.

**Depends on:** A shift must be open. Items must have a price set up in the system.

**Feeds into:** Stock reduces for the correct size and style, a sale record is created, a receipt can be printed.

***

### Barcode Scanning

**Who uses it:** Cashier

Instead of typing the product name or size, you scan the barcode on the shoe box. The correct item appears in the cart instantly. This saves time and avoids mistakes when a customer is trying on many pairs.

**Depends on:** A barcode scanner must be connected and "Enable Barcode Scanner" must be turned on in POS Settings.

***

### Item Group Filter

**Who uses it:** Cashier

The catalog shows filter chips across the top - for example, Sports Shoes, Sandals, Formal Shoes, Kids, Accessories. Tap a category to narrow the view so you can find the right product faster without scrolling through everything.

***

### Split Payment

**Who uses it:** Cashier

A customer can pay with a mix of payment methods. For example, they might pay ₹500 in cash and the rest by UPI. The system handles this in one transaction with a single receipt.

**Depends on:** Payment modes must be set up in the POS Profile.

***

### Customer Selection

**Who uses it:** Cashier

You can pick which customer is making the purchase. For walk-in customers, the system uses a default "Walk-in Customer" so you do not have to do anything extra. For registered customers, their loyalty points and purchase history are linked to the sale.

**Feeds into:** Loyalty points are tracked by customer, return look-up is easier when a customer is linked.

***

### Quick Add Customer

**Who uses it:** Cashier

If a customer wants to register for loyalty rewards, you can add their name and mobile number right from the billing screen without leaving the sale. They immediately start earning points on that transaction.

**Depends on:** Enable Loyalty must be turned on for the enrollment message to appear.

***

### Discount

**Who uses it:** Cashier

You can apply a discount on the total sale - either as a flat amount (for example, ₹200 off) or as a percentage (for example, 15% off). The system recalculates the total and tax correctly after the discount.

***

### Live Price Preview

**Who uses it:** Cashier

As you add items to the cart, the system shows the running total with GST in real time. By the time you press "Charge", the amount on screen is the exact amount the customer will pay - no surprises.

***

### Receipt Printing

**Who uses it:** Cashier

After a sale is completed, a receipt is printed showing the items, amounts, payment method, and totals. The receipt format can be customized in POS Settings. If the internet is down, a basic on-screen receipt is shown and can be printed.

***

### Cash Drawer

**Who uses it:** Cashier (automatic)

If a cash drawer is connected to the receipt printer, it opens automatically every time a cash payment is taken. This is set up in POS Settings.

***

## Shift Management

### Open Shift

**Who uses it:** Cashier or Manager

Before billing can begin each day, you open the shift. You enter how much cash is in the drawer at the start (called the opening float). This becomes the reference point for the end-of-day cash count.

**Depends on:** No existing open shift for this counter.

**Feeds into:** Every sale made during the day is linked to this shift.

***

### Close Shift and Z-Report

**Who uses it:** Cashier or Manager

At the end of the day, you close the shift. You count the cash in the drawer and enter the amount. Card and UPI totals are filled in automatically. The system compares what is in the drawer to what it expected and shows any difference. A Z-report is generated showing the full daily summary.

**Depends on:** An open shift must exist.

**Feeds into:** Accounting entries are finalized, the daily sales record is complete.

***

### Shift Status

**Who uses it:** Cashier or Manager

At any point during the day, you can see the number of sales made and the total value collected in this shift. This helps you track how the day is going without closing the shift.

***

## Returns and Refunds

### Process a Return

**Who uses it:** Manager

If a customer brings back a pair of shoes - wrong size, defect, or change of mind - you look up the original sale by its number and process the refund. You choose which items come back, how many pairs, and which payment method the refund goes to. The system adds the stock back automatically.

**Depends on:** Returns must be enabled in POS Settings. The sale must be within the refund window set in hours (for example, 48 hours). A submitted sale record must exist.

**Feeds into:** Stock is restocked for the returned size, accounting is adjusted, the original invoice is marked as returned.

***

## Held Orders

### Park a Cart

**Who uses it:** Cashier

If a customer is still deciding or wants to try another pair, you can park their cart and help the next customer. The parked cart stays saved on this device.

**Feeds into:** The Held Orders screen.

***

### Resume a Held Order

**Who uses it:** Cashier

You go to the Held Orders tab, find the parked cart, and resume it. All items the customer had selected are restored exactly as they were. You can discard a parked cart if the customer leaves.

***

## Offline Mode

### Sell Without Internet

**Who uses it:** Cashier

If the internet connection drops, billing continues without interruption. The sale is saved on the device. When the connection comes back, the system uploads all queued sales automatically.

**Depends on:** "Enable Offline Mode" must be turned on in POS Settings.

***

### Sync Center

**Who uses it:** Cashier or Manager

You can see which offline sales have been uploaded and which are still waiting. The system shows a count of pending sales in the top navigation bar so you always know the sync status.

***

## Loyalty Points

### Earn Points

**Who uses it:** Cashier, Customer (automatic)

Registered customers earn loyalty points on every purchase. Points are calculated automatically based on the loyalty program set up. You do not have to do anything - the system handles it.

**Depends on:** "Enable Loyalty" must be turned on. The customer must be a registered customer (not a walk-in).

***

### Redeem Points

**Who uses it:** Cashier

A customer can use their saved-up points for a discount on their next purchase. At the payment screen, you enter how many points they want to use. The system converts those points into a rupee value and reduces the amount due. You can also tap "Max" to redeem all available points at once.

**Depends on:** The customer must have points available, Enable Loyalty must be on.

***

## Analytics and Reports

### Sales Dashboard

**Who uses it:** Manager

See total sales value, number of transactions, total items sold, and tax collected for today, the last 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. Switch between time ranges with one tap.

***

### Payment Mix Report

**Who uses it:** Manager

See how much was collected by cash, card, UPI, and any other payment mode as a breakdown. This helps you match what is in the drawer with what the system says was collected.

***

### Top Items Report

**Who uses it:** Manager

See which shoe styles and products sold the most units and the highest value in the selected period. Use this to make reorder decisions and spot which styles are moving fast.

***

### Returns Summary

**Who uses it:** Manager

See the total value and number of items returned in the selected period. Useful for spotting patterns - for example, if a particular style has many returns.

***

### Low Stock Alerts

**Who uses it:** Manager (automatic notification)

Every day the system checks stock levels and sends the manager an alert when any item falls below its safety stock level. You can also see the list in the Analytics screen.

***

## Settings and Configuration

### POS Settings

**Who uses it:** Admin

Control everything about how the POS works: store name, logo, theme colour, which features are on or off, the default payment method, receipt format, and hardware (scanner, printer, cash drawer). This is the master switch for all features.

***

### Terminals

**Who uses it:** Admin

If your store has more than one billing counter, you can set up each counter as a named terminal. Each terminal runs independently, is assigned to a cashier, and has its own sync queue. You can activate or deactivate terminals without deleting them.

***

### POS Profile

**Who uses it:** Admin (set up in BAS)

The POS Profile is the link between the POS and your warehouse, price list, and company. All sales from this counter draw stock from the warehouse set in the profile. This is configured in the back-office (BAS) before the POS is used.

***

### Pricing Rules

**Who uses it:** Admin (set up in BAS)

Automatic discounts - for example, "buy 2 pairs, get 10% off" or "sale price on all sandals this weekend" - are configured as Pricing Rules and applied automatically by the server when conditions are met.
