# Getting Around

> Learn the Healthcare workspace, shortcuts, number cards, navigation sections, and reports so you can find anything quickly.

The Rehabilitation Center system lives inside the Bizaxl back-office under the **Healthcare** workspace. This page explains every section, shortcut, and number you will see when you log in.

## The Healthcare Workspace

When you open the Healthcare workspace, you see four zones:

1. **Number cards** at the very top - four live counters showing key daily numbers
2. **Patient Appointments chart** - a visual bar chart of appointment activity
3. **Your Shortcuts** - quick links to the most-used records and pages
4. **Reports and Masters** - cards for every module, grouped by category

## Number Cards (Live Counters)

These four numbers update in real time and tell you the health of your day at a glance.

| Card | What It Counts | Who Checks It |
| --------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | -------------------- |
| **Total Patients** | All patients with Active status | Manager, Admin |
| **Total Patients Admitted** | Patients currently admitted as inpatients | Doctor, Nurse, Admin |
| **Open Appointments** | Appointments with status "Open" (not yet seen) | Front Desk, Doctor |
| **Appointments to Bill** | Appointments that are completed but not yet invoiced | Front Desk, Billing |

**Typical use:** The front desk looks at "Open Appointments" every morning to know how busy the day is. The billing team looks at "Appointments to Bill" every afternoon to make sure no service is missed.

## Patient Appointments Chart

A bar chart below the number cards shows appointment volume over a recent period, broken down by date or practitioner (depending on the configuration). This gives the manager a quick visual of busy vs. quiet days and any unusual spikes.

## Your Shortcuts

Six quick-access buttons in the middle of the workspace.

## Navigation: How to Find a Record

**From the workspace:** Click any card link or shortcut to open the list for that record type.

**Global search (top bar):** Type a patient name, appointment number, or any key term into the search bar at the top of the screen. The system searches across all record types.

**Patient History page:** Go to the Patient History shortcut and search by patient name. You see a full timeline of everything related to that patient.

***

## Patient Portal

Patients can access a limited portal from the website. After the front desk creates their record and invites them (via the Patient form), patients can:

* View their appointments
* View their lab test results
* View their prescriptions (encounter notes)
* Update their personal details

The portal is separate from the staff system and has restricted access.
