# Getting Around

> How to navigate the Home Care workspace - where to find patients, schedule visits, record care, manage the pharmacy, and access reports.

When you log in to Bizaxl and open the Home Care workspace, you will see everything you need to run the day's operations. This page walks you through what is in the workspace and where to find each feature.

## Opening the Home Care Workspace

After you log in, look for **Home Care** in the left sidebar, or use the search bar (press `/`) and type "Home Care".

## Quick Shortcuts at the Top

At the top of the workspace you will see two quick links:

| Shortcut                | What It Opens                                             |

| Healthcare Service Unit | The list of locations where care is delivered             |
| Healthcare Practitioner | The list of doctors and nurses on your team               |
| Dashboard               | Charts and numbers showing how the business is performing |

## The Five Sections of the Workspace

The workspace is organised into five sections. Here is what each one contains.

### Masters

This section holds the setup records. You come here when you are first setting up the system or when something needs to be updated.

| Link                         | What It Is in Plain Language                                                                    |
| ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Patient                      | The list of all your patients. Click here to register a new patient or look up an existing one. |
| Healthcare Practitioner      | The list of all your nurses and doctors.                                                        |
| Practitioner Schedule        | The days and hours each doctor or nurse is available for visits.                                |
| Medical Department           | The types of care you offer (Home Care, Nursing, Physiotherapy, etc.).                          |
| Patient Care Type            | Categories of patient care.                                                                     |
| Diagnosis                    | A library of medical condition names used when recording a diagnosis.                           |
| Healthcare Service Unit      | The locations in your system (consultation rooms, patient home zones).                          |
| Healthcare Service Unit Type | The types of locations (room, zone, bay).                                                       |

### Orders

This section is where clinical orders are created and managed - things a doctor orders during a visit that need to be acted on.

| Service Request      | An order for a test or investigation (e.g., blood test to be collected at home).             |
| Medication Request   | An order for a medicine to be given to the patient.                                          |
| Diagnostic Report    | A compiled report of test findings or investigation results.                                 |
| Observation          | A recorded check or measurement from a visit (wound photo, mobility level, feeding ability). |
| Observation Template | The template that defines what observations are recorded (set up once by admin).             |

### Consultation

This is where the day-to-day care records live. Nurses and doctors use this section most often.

| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Patient Appointment         | The visit schedule. Book a new home visit here, or check who has visits today.    |
| Vital Signs                 | Blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level, blood sugar recordings from each visit. |
| Patient Encounter           | The main visit record. Everything the caregiver found and did during the visit.   |
| Clinical Procedure          | A specific procedure performed during a visit (e.g., wound dressing).             |
| Clinical Note Type          | Categories for clinical notes.                                                    |
| Clinical Note               | Free-text notes added by the caregiver during a visit.                            |
| Clinical Procedure Template | The template that defines each procedure type (set up once by admin).             |

### Nurse

This section is used by the nursing team.

| Nursing Checklist Template | The list of tasks that should be completed at a certain type of visit (set up once by admin).         |
| Nursing Task               | The individual task records for each patient visit, with start time, end time, and completion status. |

### Pharmacy

This section is for your in-house pharmacy or medicines counter.

| POS Profile       | The setup for the pharmacy counter (price list, payment methods).                        |
| POS Opening Entry | Opening the pharmacy cash register at the start of the day.                              |
| point-of-sale     | The pharmacy dispensing screen - this is where medicines are sold/dispensed to patients. |
| POS Closing Entry | Closing the pharmacy counter at the end of the day.                                      |
| POS Invoice       | The receipt for each pharmacy sale.                                                      |

## Number Cards on the Dashboard

Three number cards show you the most important live counts at a glance.

| Card                    | What It Tells You                                                                            |
| ----------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Open Appointments       | How many visits are currently scheduled and have not been completed                          |
| Total Patients Admitted | Patients currently admitted (relevant if you manage inpatient beds alongside home care)      |
| Appointments to Bill    | Completed visits that have not been invoiced yet - this should be zero at the end of the day |

## Dashboard Charts

Open the Healthcare Dashboard to see four charts:

| Chart                                | What It Shows                                                                           |
| ------------------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Patient Appointments                 | How many visits happened each day over the past period                                  |
| Department wise Patient Appointments | Which care departments (Home Care, Nursing, Physiotherapy) are handling the most visits |
| Clinical Procedures                  | How many procedures (wound dressings, etc.) were performed                              |
| Clinical Procedures Status           | Breakdown of procedures by status - Completed, In Progress, Cancelled                   |

## Who Sees What

Different team members have different access levels.

| Role                             | What They Can Access                                                         |
| -------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Healthcare Administrator         | Everything - patients, visits, procedures, billing, settings                 |
| Healthcare Practitioner (Doctor) | Their own visits, all patient encounters, clinical procedures, prescriptions |
| Nursing User                     | Nursing tasks, vital signs, clinical procedures, patient encounters          |
| Laboratory User                  | Blood test orders, sample collection, result entry                           |
| Patient                          | Their own records through the portal (appointments, prescriptions, reports)  |
